"We Are Still Searching For Someone To Replace Fashola" - ACN

The Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria has refuted speculations that Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the National Leader of the Party, Bola Tinubu, has been chosen to succeed Governor Babatunde Fashola as Lagos governor.

The speculations, which have become a subject for debate on the Internet, has it that Tinubu has decided to impose his wife on the state, by  ensuring that she emerges as the candidate of the ACN in the 2015 governorship election.
But the Publicity Secretary of Lagos ACN, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, said that it was mere fabrication, saying the Senator was not interested in governing the state.

PHOTO: Pastor Chris Okotie Finds New Love?

There are reports that Pastor Chris Okotie of the Household of God Church, Lagos may have found love again after ending his marriage with his ex-wife in 2012.

According to Stella Dimokokorkus
“Her name is Delphine and she worships God in another popular church in Lagos. She just got a brand new car love gift from her pastor friend and the word got out.
In this photo(below), those who know the pastor’s house in and out, please look at the curtains very well and you will know who I mean, keep starring at the pink curtains! Hopefully she will step into the wifely shoes soon.
I wish them all the best, they are so beautiful…chewing bitter leaf and waiting for press release to deny…”

Cashless Policy: Dream Still Far From Reality

In what can best be described as an attempt to broaden the scope of electronic payments for goods and services, five states and the FCT are set to join Lagos which adopted the cashless initiative last year, owing to the high level of commercial activities and cash deposits they record.

On its part, the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, disclosed that the expanded cashless initiative would include Aba (Abia State), Onitsha (Anambra State), Kano (Kano State), Port Harcourt (Rivers State), Abeokuta/Agbara (Ogun State) and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Indeed, the trend, which has for long been embraced by the industrialised European countries and the USA, is yet to fully gain ground in Nigeria. But the CBN, which is the main driver of the effort, explains that it is aimed at reducing the heavy volume of paper money or cash in the economic system.
